About Meridian

Editorial-grade analysis for serious crypto allocators.

Why Meridian Exists

The events of 2022 and 2023 exposed a structural gap in the information available to participants in digital asset markets. The collapse of the Terra/Luna ecosystem in May 2022, the bankruptcy of FTX in November of that year, and the subsequent failures of Celsius, Voyager, and BlockFi demonstrated that even nominally sophisticated allocators had insufficient visibility into the risk profiles of the instruments they held. Yield was displayed; methodology was not.

Meridian was founded in 2023 in direct response to this gap. Our thesis is straightforward: the quality of information available to a participant in public capital markets should not depend on whether that participant has access to a prime brokerage relationship or a proprietary research desk. Institutional-grade analysis should be available as infrastructure, not as a privilege.

We are not a protocol, a broker, or a custodian. We do not hold assets, execute transactions, or provide personalised investment advice. Meridian is an independent research and information service — a structured lens through which the digital asset yield landscape can be examined with the same rigour applied in traditional fixed income markets.

What Meridian Does

Meridian surfaces yield opportunities across the digital asset landscape — staking, lending, liquidity provision, and structured DeFi strategies — and subjects each to a five-dimensional risk assessment covering smart contract integrity, liquidity conditions, counterparty structure, yield sustainability, and regulatory exposure. Every opportunity presented on the platform carries a published risk rating derived from this methodology.

Our comparative analysis draws on data from DeFiLlama, on-chain analytics via Dune Analytics and direct RPC node access, independent audit reports from recognised security firms, and governance forum activity. Data is refreshed on a rolling basis, with intra-day updates for high-volatility metrics such as TVL and spot APY.

To be explicit about what the Service is not: Meridian does not provide regulated financial advice. We do not custody client assets. We do not execute transactions on behalf of users. We do not hold or transfer client funds. We do not act as a broker, dealer, or fiduciary. Users of the Service retain full control of their assets and are solely responsible for any investment decisions made in reliance on information presented herein.
